Pavoor Uliya, Mangalore
Where it is
Pavoor Uliya, a small and beautiful Island in the river Nethravathi, 12KM far from the Mangalore city on NH48 near the Sahyadri college at Adyar. The bus took 20 minutes to reach Adyar, then walk for 1KM to reach the river side.
How to reach
Local buses and express buses are available from City Bus stand(state bank).
Geography
The 1KM wide island divide the river into two for 3KM in lenght. The river part flowing through the South-East side of Island is the wider one. But the sand mining on the other side seems like, it will be wider in next few years. The 3/4 part of the Island is sand.
(If politics and money is there with you, then what is there in doing such things now!)
